So, I thought I'd do some C&C? I'm not the best for it, so take my two cents, or just let them lay where they are.

Mitts: I might've gone a bit further with the shoulders there to balance the rest of the image. Hips looks pretty wide because of the thighs being like that. Which is very cool. Awesome posture!

dman3d: Hehe, that is kind of funny. A bit "messy" at the moment, too much things going on everywhere, should find some hotspots to shiny up and detail, and tone down some of the rest.

paulie666: Also needs a bit more focus. I got drawn towards the bloodspatter first, but there's nowhere to focus there. Might wanna push something else so your eyes wander around the picture, for example the eyes. When it comes to attaching the image, upload the image in the attachment manager first, then look at the toolbar over the box where you write (AA, fonts, sizes, etc) - find the green paperclip, click the arrow right next to it, and select the image from there. If you upload several images, they'll appear there and you can pick them in the order you want.

jazylh: Hehe. Take a look at the left shoulder (his right), it kind of looks like someone took a chunk of his arm. Might wanna realign that. And it kind of looks like his right bracelet (his left) should've fallen down towards the hand since there's nothing to keep it up there.

AppleCrow: I like that one. Horns is always good. But you might wanna take care that it still looks like a zombie and not a random creature from the underworld. Even if rotting flesh will help on it's way.

digital: That looks like a cool start. Might wanna take a look at the jaw though, right now it looks like something is spurting out of his tongue, since that's not where his throat would be when you've stylized the lower part of the face like that. How it looks will of course depend on how much you keep stylizing it though, of course.

M16MB02: Face looks good. Take a look at your upper arm and your neck in the mirror though, the neck just curves and doesn't seem to be properly attached. And the biceps doesn't look exactly like that and connects differently with the shoulder. Good start!

Nestoronfire: Great idea! In general the figure looks a bit loopsided when it comes to balance, I think it's because of the size of the head and the arm to the left (his left). Even with foreshortening you might wanna review the bodypart sizes in comparison to each other.

malo: Nice! Not much to crit here. The shoulder kind of makes him look at a hunchback at the moment, but I don't know if that'll change when you keep working on the details and make it stand apart from the back. Probably also because it's so large compared to the other side, and that the image is greyscale.

Did a bit more on mine, I'll start doing some detailing now. Not sure if I'm gonna keep thing thing behind her head. C&C of course appreciated!

Sorknes, thnx for the crit man. I agree, the body parts need work.

I like your idea, the little bridesmaids scare the shit out of me . One thing about the bride, she looks like she is standing on her toes and not on her feet.

This topic made me think of an old guy that I had sketched out years ago and had fully intended to paint. But I never got around to it (not unusual). So, give me a ruling on this one. Can I resurrect this old guy and put some life in him? (Puns intended). Is there a statute of limitations for sketch age before it's considered re-usable? You can see the date at the bottom. It's that old! (25 years). I'm having fun here, but if you think it's cool I'll make this corpse reek!

    Whataya think?

SARDEANIE: That is a great guy indeed, really like the whole thing. But when it comes to "resurrecting" him... I think the images here has to be new ones. From the 2D Drawing Jam FAQ: "The images must be created by you for the challenge (no old or reused art) and conform to the Terms of the Service of the board."

Nestoronfire: She wasn't just standing on her toes, I had utterly forgotten about the feet, and what was supposed to be high heeled shoes - not to *mention* the bouquet that was gonna lay in front of her. That said I'm not very good at feet... *cough* (so anyone wanna do a quick paintover to help me align the feet/shoes properly would have my gratitude for the week, if not for the month..) *cough*...

Sorknes, just take a pic of your feet dude and use it as ref. Place the camera at the right height/angle etc.

Haven't posted on here in a long time but after watching a coworker compet in one of the other drawing challenges I thought it might be fun to give this a try. Hopefully I can have something by the deadline.

That brief moment where "It's just a bite" becomes "Well, I'm dead."

The last update for tonight. Figured it was enough of a change to make it worth posting.

Sorknes: Oh no, I read the rules, that's why I was asking. It's just a sketch and still a long way from what I have in my head. Really just a character study. Maybe I'll just run with it for my own personal growth. If I don't do this now it may be another 25 years! If he mods feel it bends the rules then so be it.... I will share it just as well.

BTW- I really like your zombie concept. I was just at a wedding! "Will you take her hand in marriage?" LOL

SARDEANIE: I'm afraid it doesnt matter on the age of the piece as it would be unfair for others to draw a line somewhere in the sand. So at 10 years old its fine but at 9.5 years its not. I'm sure you could do a better one anyway now if its that old!

However if you want to keep posting it in this thread for the feedback then feel free to do so but I cant include that image in the poll this time around. We may be having a round in a few weeks where you can revive old pieces or finished unfinished ones so keep an eye out for that

@ Sorknes - Thanks, madame!! Yeah was struggling a bit with perspective and "non-human" anatomy Well - kind of greyscale. Had in mind to keep it as simple as possible so that the zombie is the main focus on the image. And just adding some points of interest to it. Had this idea of a "dime novel" cover in mind…
and - btw - love your idea!!!

          well - update time
added some "blood and guts", some details, textures and "heres and theres" to it.
Hope to find the time to push it further…

          thanks for watching

              Default Zombie Vikings

I've been hunkering to draw some vikings recently, so thought zombie vikings would be a good start. Here are some WIPs, liking the idea of an array of weapons sticking out the back of him as vikings like to go down fighting!

DarkMechanic - I really like the looks of number 3.
