Hi everyone. I haven't participated in a creature planet before but now that I'm on break from school, I have a lot of free time. :D I did a couple of sketches for this.

I made these initial ideas a little comedic looking I guess. I imagine the second one would blow slightly toxic snot at competitors to slow them down even more, since they would be already slow moving.

Thanks for the advice, i decided to start again with different composition fairly happy with it so far but just noticed my frilo looks like a lamp shade! still like it though.
some amazing stuff on here looking forward to finals thread.

I've revised my initial design and added the extra set of legs as well a few other things... hopefully it is now more in line with the description... crits welcome

First creature planet for me....I meant to post some more progress thumbs but had today free and got carried away rendering...I plan to make a little more progress on this though.

nice division of labor with the limbs. and are those gills or just shadows on the underside of the neck?

(and i apologize if you thought I was advising you to remove the sidewise jawblades - I was just curious as to their origin: limbs or skull)

I like how you gave it a smooth, almost rubbery shell that's a novel kind of shell...and the pose of the limbs and the "look" on the face (or it looks like a face) suggests exhaustion. had to fight to be the one to go on shore for the flower, yes?

Very nice...shades of tardigrade, catirpillar, ornamental-tailed fish...and put together in a way that it all its own. (not sure what those antennae(?) are doing)

@Keenir2 : thanks friend... while googling I found that stigma is where teh nectar is located in teh flower... so to just give a subject, I was showing that his one of teh antennas is stuck in teh stigma... n he pulling it out.

pls anybody help me to know teh time of deadline-
is it 'Thursday, 30th Jun' or 'Friday, 1st July'?... it is written 'Thursday, 1st July'.
PST is -7:00, right?

I had mixed up some stuff with the deadline in this forum as well as the banner on the front page! D: I'm not sure what I was thinking lol. So I've given a slight extension!

The New Deadline is Sunday July 3rd!

@ Anthis: Your design is really interesting and unique. I really like how crusty and rough his back looks. Are those wings on top or fins?
