BRIEF: Steampunk Power Rangers Concept

Get your Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on!! Or whatever Power Series was your favorite. This should be a fun challenge, as the Power Rangers have been on the air for almost 2 decades! But we're not here to discuss the current rangers, we are going to re-design a new kind of ranger - and put a steam-punk twist on them.

The only requirements for this round are:
1) Your Power Ranger *must* look like a Power Ranger, (ei: helmet design, colors: red for Red Ranger, Green Ranger, Blue Ranger, etc.)
2) and the suit needs to be at least 50% steam-punk in design or more, meaning it should display technology from the late 1800's - early 1900's in appearance.

Your ranger can live in that era, or it can be a modern-day ranger that is just making a fashion statement. You can add a background - it is not required but helpful. You may choose to display 2 or more rangers if you wish, but one ranger must be the main focus of your design, showing all the details and bling-bling. He or she can have their helmet off or on, again up to you. Use reference for steam-punk design, but be creative and original. And remember, show a character trait in your design such as what their personality might be.

Mubuk ~ you can include a villain in your painting but it must have a ranger in it. And the ranger is still the main character and focus of your design.

Hey everyone,

Great starts here on those steampunk designs. Even though this is a steampunk challenge, let's try to keep the rangers looking a bit like the TV series. By that I mean try to keep the Power Ranger designs similar to the characters, like their helmet visors and helmet designs for example, but you can make them out of metal with rivets. Just trying to point out some tips. Steampunk design is not easy, that's why this is a challenge. Mix in some fabric and leather too, a bit of steam tubing, and gears - steampunk design likes to show a lot of gears!

And yes, you can include a Zord or any villain in your art, but they have to be a secondary element and the Power Ranger needs to be the primary element. So if you want, you can have them in a fighting stance, as long as the Ranger is showing off some kind of power. These are just ideas to help you out, just make the Ranger the main character. Are any female Rangers going to appear?

I'm trying to keep this guy looking like the Rangers I remember from way back when, and playing with the materiality of the suit. Also chunky, grimy power-armor, just because.

hey guys, this is a quick update of my ranger in two steps, i havent had chance for much internet so im posting both of my updated pictures now

things with the picture will probably change before i start adding details into it.
