nice update! and its up to you in the end. realistically your right there wouldnt be much light near that spot but personally i think if it is hard to tell or if just doesnt look appealing i would change it even if it contradicts with realism. but in this case it isnt a big deal. hope you solve your wrinkle problem :b

Thanks Amaakir! yeah..the most difficult part was/is the chain mail, I prefer that part on the arm pit, after looong hours I´m kinda understanding how to paint chainmail lol

My idea was to let it mesh a little with the armour because I set a very low/ horizontal light, so there wouldn´t be any light in the middle, the face is where we can see better (I adjusted the levels and I´ll post soon!) But I darkened a little more to have a "wavy feeling", Is that what you mean? Or contrast between the links?

Thanks for the beer! Recently I´ve started to be less perfectionist and keep going with the illustrations until a certain where I´m kinda satisfied.. If I paint until I think its "perfect" would take forever, and it´s being a good workflow, I learn a lot and get more excited with the next painting..

Maybe in the future (when I get some cool gigs I might change my workflow with 2-3 illustrations at the same time) I really liked this workflow that I saw at Feng Zhu´s youtube channel

Thanks Kevin! Yeah.. I recentlly went to a workshop (Ibraim - marvel penciler) where He said something really interesting to me, the real/correct in not always the best way to convey, I´m really attached to realism and that really spoke to me. Cyntia Sheppard also gave me an awesome feedback (pun intended for those who knows her lol) and she also said that would be boring to show just candle lights, that I should add some cool lights too. And I did and felt I really much better... As I said to Amaakir, It´s a pity when we can´t apply the feedbacks righ away.

I can´t say how much I´m happy being part of this community, I´m learning so much and now that I left my job, I hope I can help others too!

I started framing the characters, I´m kinda happy with the composition, I think my biggest weakness is composition and I tend to go too much to the details and add a lot of things to compete with the main theme. Learning a lot with Bourguereau

And the illustration with the lady in white is just incredible, how can you not like it? Hahaha I really loved it, the composition feels pretty good to me, natural, even, dunno how to express it, but it rocks!

I really liked the knight too, but after some feedbacks, some people told me to hide some of the highlights, the said that there are too much and there isn´t a real focal point..

The peasant and princess I like a little, the picture that I took didn´t fit very well with the colors I picked..

But I intend to go adjust them when I finish this book!

New painting guys! Throw more rocks! I think I managed to ajust my monitor. I could work better at the levels, as well save in a better format (PNG seems much better!)
This is the next to last illustration to finish the book! After that I´ll take a month vacation (In Ireland!) and when I get back I´ll have tons of feedback to follow!
