Hehe well i can't teach you, but for Photoshop I set the brush to a narrow oval shape put it at 90 degrees and set the angle jitter to direction if I'm using a mouse, or pen tilt if I'm using my tablet.I'm also a fan of using wet edges for my brushes.


If you're using GIMP some brushes allow you to rotate them, but you'll have to setup a shortcut for that. I tend to use Shift+[ or ] to rotate the brush left or right. Reason for this is GIMP currently to my knowledge does not have the ability to adjust the brush direction in accordance to direction or pen tilt.
