I've made some color variation on this piece.
Let me know the option you prefer.

    Default La Danseuse

As I suck at doing characters, I'm going to try to improve my (absence of) skills.
I did this study of the sculpture of Degas. (1h30)

Thanks a lot xyphid and Howie.
I don't really know why, but I feel much more comfortable with environment.
I'm so bad at drawing characters and I so much want to get better at it.
Do you guys have any suggestions or links to start with?

        Thanks

Environments come easier to me too and I think it's because there is a lot more flexibility. With environments, especially really organic ones the shapes that make up the mountains, hills, etc really don't have to be all that accurate since they don't really have a specific shape.

Characters/figures are much less forgiving. We know exactly how a human body should look since we look at them all day long and even the smallest detail can throw a drawing off. I think the best thing to do is pick up some anatomy books and familiarize yourself with all the muscles and proportions...all humans are pretty much built the same it's just the proportions that change. Also, gesture is probably the most important thing with figures, so do a ton of quick sketches of people from observation
