I got dragged here by Hanjun as well while she was hanging out at my house. And, despite us both being hell intimidated, if she's going to step up and post, so am I.
My name is Grace Fong, and I'm a Digital Media Design student at the University of Pennsylvania (in Philadelphia, coincidentally my hometown). I figured I couldn't stand doing solely science or art, so I went into Computer Graphics from the technical side. I'm 19 right now, entering my junior year. This means I've got Computer Graphics Programming, Web Design, and Digital Figure Modeling starting up in a few days. I've been drawing since I was little, and I've had little bits of lessons. Nothing particularly profound, though. I've only started painting digitally, seriously, this summer. Most of my illustration work is still traditional. I am still finding it pretty hard to stare at a screen for too long. I don't have a website which is good enough to show (that's what taking Wed Design is for, hohoho), so the best way to see anything recent is http://fongmingyun.deviantart.com . You're going to see my go crazy when internship application time arrives. |

Helloooo.
My name is Jinju, or Jen if that's easier I'm 21, entering my senior year at SVA and majoring in illustration. I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Seoul, Korea, and now live in Brooklyn, NY-- with my cat, my feral roommate, and her rabbit. It was rather late, but towards the end of my junior year of college, I had an epiphany and realized that I hated everything I had created up until that point. Since that recent discovery, I have been striving to work as hard as I possibly can to get my illustration abilities and stylistic choices where I can begin to think about being happy with them. My website is http://www.jinjuitis.com , but it's.... being remodeled. Haha. Nice to see so many extremely talented artists here! |

Hey what's up. Great work on this site so far and cool people!
I am a self taught artist and illustrator with my only "real" training in graphic design. I have been a designer for the last 20 years and it has paid well. I even enjoyed at times. It just isn't what I wanted to be when I grew up : ) I have been trying to become a better, more expressive painter, digital or otherwise and I am trying to tie in all of the different mediums and styles that I do. Haha, way too many. Trying to narrow it down. Anyway, it all about the journey and having fun along the way. You can see some of my design work on my website if you are interested... http://www.se7en.us.com |

![]() OK, I was way to shy to say anything about myself but here goes... I was trained by my boyfriend Se7en in photo shop, he gave me a wacom, all of his custom brushes and I just can't put the tablet down!! I work on painting everyday and love it, I am actually obsessed with it and can't stop working and learning! Help!! I have owned the iO art gallery for 7 years, Se7en is now a 50/50 partner with me and our mission is to bring smaller genera's to the forefront of the fine art market (Fantasy, Low Brow, Pin-up, illustration) http://www.theiogallery.com Doing good so far! Our next show is with Michael Whelan and Scott Fischer!! Whew! Sept 6th Sat 5-7pm All Welcome... see you there... Thanks, Kelly |

Hey everyone, I just registered.
Heard about CGHub through several journal entries on DeviantART, thought what the heck, I'll sign up. Despite the fact that all the art I've seen here is mindblowingly good and makes me feel embarrassed and inferior. But what the heck, right? ![]() My deviantART site: http://thenumber42.deviantart.com Nice to meet you all! |
