Wow, quite the collection.

I'm Carmen, and was a late bloomer in art and chickened out of going to SCAD when I was 18, haha. I'm finishing up a Biochemistry degree at the University of Tennessee and only within the past year realized my passion for art and the need to pursue it. Since then I've been studying art independently and preparing my portfolio to apply to the conceptart.org Atelier program (the very thought terrifies me!).

I was pointed over here by a friend of mine, and after seeing so many fantastic artists and role models here, I couldn't help but join in.

Teach me, O great ones. I look forward to seeing this place grow into a wonderful community.

After seeing the picture in her post here I'm pretty certain that doesn't seem too unrealistic. ;3

All kidding aside, this looks like just the kind of community I've been looking for to foster the kind of productive progression in my art that I've been severely lacking as of late. So much talent squeezed in here already, it's.. extremely daunting.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

My name is Shaun Healey, conceptual artist at a small (smaaaaall) time game studio in Dallas. Never touched Photoshop until I was well into college so I'm behind the times but making mad dashes to catch up with the rest of the crowd. Again, intensely daunting, but I love the art world and know full well I'm not going to survive without immersing myself into it.

Why not...Hi, I'm Dan, 29, Freelancer currently in Atlanta, GA. I mostly paint with my days and occasionally meander over to my drum set for a break. There's also the guilty video gaming pleasure.

I'm an art school drop out and have mingled in everything from Graphic Design to Animation, but I've found my true love with Illustration. Feel free to check out my work bio here for some of the jobs I've had.

I'm Hanjun Ni, a 21 year old college student at the University of Delaware, USA, currently studying Statistics (lol?). I love drawing and art in general, and am here to learn what I can and oogle at all the other artists.

I got dragged here by Dan, and I'm so amazed at the works here.

My name's Jia (means good, pretty, delicious in Chinese.). I'm currently staying in Ohio where it snows 3 out of 4 seasons. Art takes up my night life, day time belongs to programming, gnawing on bundled up wires, kicking the server, dumping data and whatnot.

Since I'm still finding my ways around, can someone tell me if we have a tutorial or Walk-through section anywhere? I get to learn so much via walk-throughs.

Hi, I'm Mana and I was dragged here by my older sister Noa ;D
I'm a 16-year-old majoring in Commercial Art in a vocational high school. I guess you can say this year will be my turning point for college and a career.
I actually wanted to be a surgeon when I was 5 years old (I must've been crazy) but my love for drawing won me over.

I'm a little intimidated to be here because everyone is so talented and professional. But seeing that I have friends here, I wanted to give it a shot ^^
