History's Villains

Chose any historical villain you wish. We've provided a list of possible picks below to make it easier in case you can't come up with a name

Create a bust representing him or her as best as possible. You can do a literal portrait, trying to capture the likeness or a caricature. It's up to you, as long as we know who that is.

Some of them are serial killers others, cruel dictators. The choice is yours

As an artist you need to keep an open mind and be able to reinterpret even the nastiest evil in a new way - like casting a role in a movie. Let's not get caught up in politics - let's sculpt and have fun!

RULES AND GUIDELINES:

Layout/Size: Keep all submissions to 1000-1200 pixels in height or width. Dont go too crazy on the number of WIP images - 2 pics say enough, we don't need 10 images with different matcaps each

Post your WIP images in this thread. Do not open a separate thread.

Submissions: Post Final Images in Finals Thread (To be posted later.)

-One Entry Per Person

-Beauty render, not just zbrush screencapture please

-You're allowed to texture your bust but it's not compulsory.

-Follow the character description to the best of your ability.

- Pay attention to anatomy, shape, form, and lighting. USE REFERENCE. Critical thinking is key to great character design.

DEADLINE: JUNE 6, 2011

can I have a question? So the villain choise is mine now? I mean, am I free to choose to villain to sculpt? And do I need to show my wip? Will I show it here or I have to create a whole new thread?

Wait a day or so on this. We have some new moderators in this section and they are still working out the details of the villains to be modeled. I think they will have a specific list to pick from when they have it ready.

I've started to sculpt the high poly... ofcourse its not finished, just the first WIP. Dont worry about giving C&C, I like it.

great start pejato - who is the villain you've chosen?

I think you want to revisit the area around the eyes and the base of the nose... The nose feels a bit disjointed from the rest of the face, a bit stuck on

Also the lower lid needs a bit more definition [remember that the upper lid always covers the lower one at the outer edge]. Keep going, I look forward to more

Quick question. Are you free to add stuff to our killers and fantasize? For instance a Steampunk Jack the ripper or something like it.
