    Default RandomSyhn - 2D - 1920's Grannie's gang (red Riding hood)

I figured I'd try my hand at this and throw my art into the ring. The concept is futuristic grunge, red light district.

I have a few ideas I'm throwing around but right now "pimp Grannie" stands out.

Here are some hood concepts for red. I'm not sure yet if she's going to be one of "Granie's girls" or if the idea itself is going to change and shift. I just drew up a generic face to play with styles, just to see how they might turn out.

I didn't think about wolfie as Grannie's crossdressing ho I was thinking rival pimp or john with a police/woodsman a little out of focus somwhere. I still need ot work a bit with the composition of the image I have a few very rough thumbnails but first I think I'm going to work with the characters.

            Default Swing

I've revised my timeline after a few concept designs of grannie (not shown due to lack of scanner) and my Red riding hood is heading towards a 1920's ganster theme as you can see we've got grannie as the head honcho and the woodsman and wolfie as muscle, I'm not entirely sure how red's going to turn out, I don't know if I want her in a flapper dress or not, maybe a fur coat, I'll have to work with the idea a little more. I'm extremely happy how the poses worked out particularly woodsman and wolf. Grannie might change a bit but for now I like the look.

              Default Red Cigar

Fixed Grannie's arm, I think she looks much more dangerous with the cigar, and added red in a bit of a flapper outfit.

I am working on this its just going sorta slow, I'm working on Grannie's tones right now. I'm liking how the greyscale is looking so far, so I'm debating a greyscale palet with red for obvious reasons or adding colour but possibly in darker or even more washed out tones.

                  Default Gangster grannie

Grannie is looking a little more fleshed out now, on to the wolf. Nowhere near finished but I want to work on the light and shadow of the image as a whole. I also need to get working on a concept for a background, Speakeasy or back alley, or maybe docks. dunno yet.

                    Default Grayscale

So now I've got wolfie and Red done in grayscale at least, and I'm really lining how it's turning out. Especailly because usually I just go straight into colours, also because I like the noir feel, I'm debating only adding a few splashes of red but we'll see.

I've also got a bit of a intro comic going through my head that I might work on if I have time. Lets just say gingerbread man and mister Baker get caught trying to lift some of grannie's merchandise. Of course that all depends on how far I get with the main image.

                      Default A little red

So I've gotten through the basic greyscale and I think I might stick with it, I need to add shadows still and come up with a background but I like how it's turning out.

                        Default Backgrounded

I've added a lot of shading and a background, I like the idea of using colours sparsely such as blue shadows and orange light, lemme know what you think. I know a few things need to be tweaked here and there, though overall I like how it looks.

                          Default red eye

finally getting pretty darn close to finished, I havn't decided yet, though I did however fix the eyes of red, wolf and woodsman because they were wonky and bugging me from the start. Also a few more tweaks here and there to the light and shadows.
