hey D-pan, seeing your process from the start up till now is a fascinating experience, very inspiring. I like the new direction you are taking, I think one can associate moon with the feeling of galaxy more. The glowing tentacles/horns on the back does remind me of the moon in a way, something like this>> , which is an interesting association too, perhaps those particles around it body can be space rocks/ planets or even small galaxies, to further take the feeling of galaxy through, just some personal view on this. Keep pushing it D-Pan, looking forward to your updates ~

      @DanielCortes: cheers!
@cyl1981: thanks so much for your comment! The picture you added is great and this is very much the idea for my god, and yes i want some orbital debris to be flowing around his body. Its gonna be very fx heavy and challenging but i want to focus most my time on that .
@maurodelia: thanks alot, i think it will read very well in the final

okay so im still working out my final sculpt, but i got side tracked friday night after hanging with the guys and ended up just playing around with transpose and colors. Updated final sculpt no later then monday night. thanks again for all the support, its very energy charging!

nice design! careful with the energy aura though, it might cover up important parts of the sculpt... it would be a shame to lose details from this mesh. Keep up the good work!

Looks like you had lots of fun last friday night hehe! Is this the composition you will keep for the final render?
I love how the logo reminds the tentacles he has on his back! Way better than Andros the god of fruits if you ask me

The pose of the right hand is top notch
Can't wait to see all these fx in their final state! Good luck with the end of the sculpt bud!

            Hey everyone,

well i could probably sculpt this out for another week or so, but with the deadline quickly creeping up and the amount of work i still have to pull off im going to call this my final hirez sculpt. Thanks again to all of you and your kickass attitudes. Rock rock rock on .

            Cheers!

thanks alot maurodelia, im having alot of fun with this. Im making some minor polish to the sculpt after reviewing it some more, a few things on andros really irritate me, but yes i will be moving onto the retopo I have preserved the base mesh so it will be a great start from there.

                thanks for watching!

Wow so many great updates from everyone, i will make some time to comb through them all .

My time is really sparse and every minute i have i try to put into this guy. Here is an update of some polypaint i did. I will finish off the final textures in photoshop, but zbrush really gives me a head start on nailing down the initial idea/temperature zones/colors etc. I never expected to go with an array of pinks and greens for this guy but i really want it to feel organic. Take note that this is mainly a color pass i have not done any specular/dirt/subsurface scattering well faked SSS for game textures. thanks again for watching! and lets keep kickin ass on our gods

i have painted the glow as a conceptual research. the symbol may not be final but i felt having a symbol placed to the third eye makes a more godly feel.

here is a turntable of flat color only, no shadows

Looking gooooood DPan Nice contrast with the skin and blue/white light! The first shot has a nice smooth and slightly wet feeling on the surface.
Maybe you lost a little bit of the neck muscle definition with this colour pass, maybe some highlights there could help a little bit. Other than that, keep going bud!!!

Nice work bro!!! the only thing I can notice (I don't know much about textures and rendering), and I see it a lot in 3D characters. The value contrast seems to harsh. The blacks go into the mid tones very fast. Even with all the deep crevices I don't think you would get that amount of blacks without a hard light.
That probably just has to do with the rendering settings or something, but I see it happen often, not sure why.
Take care, and keep it coming!
