Keep it up man! I think pushing your plane shapes more at 100% opacity before going in to rendering will help the solidity of your forms. Keep it up dude!

I have some other stuff i was workin on for the IDW Remote Control Ornithopter thing over at CA, but Its kinda crappy and unoriginal so ill just keep it to myself .

so i did a paint rendering ting last night, but it sucked to bad I didnt want to post it. but now im doing it anyways i figure I should post my bad stuff to, so you can crit me!


For tonight. a still life, just some junk on my desk.
I keep trying to pain that little skull, but I never get the colors right.. must be some sub surface scatering Im doing wrong, and the shadow tones i think...

I dont have time to finish it cus its 04:13 right now and I have shit to do tomorow... (gota make the breaks work on my chevy, and change the starter on my lada. for the car nerds on here )

You like that Grynch track? You should check out my boys group Hush'd Puppies, they were beat out by that Volvo track for NW video of the year. Good stuff man. When painting something like the skull just remember what the local value is of the skull and how that will change in lighting conditions and its surrounding environment, it will probably take in a lot more of htose warm browns from the desk in the reflect light and shadows, warm lights cool shadows usually or vice versa. keep it up dude!

MetalFingers thanks man If i got you right, I should use a basecollor for the hole skull, then work out from that with reflected light and shadows? sounds good! Cool track btw!
