Drawing Jam winners now get a special user rank applied to their profile, which will appear on their main profile page.

If you win multiple drawing jams, your badge will say "Drawing Jam Winner x2, or x3" etc. depending on how many you have won.

Coincidentally I was thinking this would add spice to the jams. However I think it would be pretty cool to make little badges specific to each contest, such as for the current one "Her Majesty" a lil badge with a crown on it, or for the vampirates, have a skull+crossbones with vampire fangs or bleeding bones or something else. I think this would be cool but idk where they would go. Profile or signature maybe? The x1,2,3 thing is also really cool as well.

As long as these basges would be pixel drawings and really simplified, that would be amazing.

Well I wouldn't mind making the badges, they should be small and not super detailed anyways. And I COMPLETELY agree about the 3 winners, especially since it appears the drawing jams are gaining more entries with each contest. There's way too many good art pieces to only have a 1st place. Besides, every type of contest has at least 3 places.

Both Ideas are cool. DIISSAR spoke about a good point. Maybe 3 places would be cool, since more and more people is getting into the jams- Sooner or later, there will be so much good people on the jams that will be a nightmare to choose only one winner.

Also, specific badges sound cool, too, like JAKE SPARROW mentioned, since they identify the specific jam winners. I agree that, if they become a reality, they'll have to be very iconic, both because they have to be done in time for the contests' end, and because they'll have to be fast-readable: I have to see immediately what jam the owner of it just won, looking at the badge. But on the other hand, I think that profile pages will have to be slightly altered to admit a great number of badges- imagine someone that has 3 1st places and 3 2nd places, for example, it'll be 6 badges, 1 for each position on each contest. Is there enough space on the profiles page to support so many badges (I'm not mentioning that the artist can also have other badges from the site, imagine the mess...)? I think it's an important point when thinking about the badges: WHERE to put them on the winners's profiles. I don't know If I was clear about my point, but, beside all difficulties it can bring to make different badges and 3 winning places, I like both ideas. :-)

Great ideas guys. We will eventually be adding 3 levels to winners of the drawing jams. We just added badges to the drawing jam winners so far to appear in the forums, they look like this:



If you win more than one, you will get x2, x3, x4 etc. and more stars on the badge. This is the first step, from here we can look into customizing them for each challenge if that's something everyone is interested in.

If for some reason you'd rather not have the badge on your profile let us know and we'll remove it!
