    Default Comics!

Soo who here reads comics, and if so what are your favorites?

    My top 3 favorites are..
    Keepers of the Maser,
    http://www.amazon.com/Second-Moon-Ke.../dp/1882931246
For its beautiful world and art finish, an illustrative book that doesn't buckle when it comes to storytelling.
    Hajime No Ippo,
    http://www.onemanga.com/Hajime_no_Ippo/638/01/
My personal pick when it comes to fight scenes and INTESITY, it's face paced, and well written.
    Calvin and Hobbes,
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvin_and_Hobbes
Touching, cute, unpretentious, and HILAROUS. Bonus points for going all out in art from time to time. T REXs in F14s!!

I've become hopelessley addicted to Robert Kirkman over the last couple of years. Especially Invincible which is not only brilliant, but gorgeous. But pretty much anything he's penned has me grinning like an idiot.

        North American comics-wise :
        - 100 bullets
        - The Losers,
        - Y the Last Man [till it dragged and gave us that crappy ending]
        - Fables

My most favorite right now must be "Air Gear" by Oh!Great

His style is just awesome, the beautiful lineart, great perspective and he has become professional with how to use words along with story telling.

Loving the Jordi Bernet issues of Jonah Hex right now, the guest issues by Darwyn Cooke and J.H. Williams were divine as well. One of the best books being put out right now! Love that each issue is self contained too, reminds me of the 90's Batman animated series.

Most recent Body Bags was a pleasant surprise. Didn't see it coming. I cannot even remember when the last issue was released. I have been a big fan of Jason Pearson's from a very early age. If Pearson is providing art I'm there. The coloring by Dave Stewart was top notch as well, as the coloring of Dave Stewart always is haha Pearson's writing was extremely solid as well.

Gen 13 of late has been a lot of fun, I started picking it up when Mike Huddleston jumped on the art duties. Some of the best comic art going right now. His covers for the series are ridiculously fresh as are the colors by Carrie Strachan. The story isn't great but its far from bad. Look forward to the upcoming issue Dan Hipp is providing art for too.

Hellcat is another great series, pleasantly surprised by it thus far. The art by David Lafuente and John Rauch is absolutely stunning. If the story was crap it would still be worth picking up for the art alone.

Same goes for Angel : Revelations with art by another childhood favorite, Adam Pollina. The story is actually quite solid thankfully. Gorgeous coloring by Matt Hollingsworth. Visually and story telling wise, this book is hands down one of the best things I've seen this year.

Lucha Libre is a really fun and quirky book, originally published by Humanoids being published my Image over here. The art is spectacular, lots of energy flowing through. I love this book!

Biggest thing rocking my world comics wise is Cat Eyed Boy. Volume two cannot come quick enough. The first volume rocked my world upon release and has been read by me several times since haha Imagine Tezuka taking on horror comics. Inspirational stuff!

Speaking of Tezuka, I am also loving the Black Jack hardcovers being put out by Vertical. I have been wanting to get my hands on the Black Jack manga's for many many years. So to be able to now get them in some really nice hardcovers is all kinds of awesome!

Couldn't agree with you more about Y the last man Axl. I was really enjoying it until that ending.

My top books right now are:
            - The Goon
            - Fear Agent
            - Invincible
            - 100 Bullets
            - DMZ
            - Walking Dead
            - Astonishing Wolfman.... I guess almost all of the Kirkman stuff like AJ
            - And a bunch more I can't think of off the top of my head.

I've been reading more comics in my teens, but I still pick up some books. My favourites right now are Kyoko Karasuma by Yusuke Kozaki, Crimson Spell and Finder by Ayano Yamane and the Angel comics mainly drawn by David Messina. I've become quite picky over the years *lol*

For those of you who can read in French, I strongly recommend Manu Larcenet's "Le Combat ordinaire".

I've also always been a sucker for Yukito Kishiro's Gunnm.

                  Yep.

                  1) Walking Dead
                  2) Flash

I used to read a whole lot but it got too expensive quick. I'm just trying to catch up on a few now.

I'm ashamed to say, that I usually read almost everything that comes out every week.

At the moment thpigh, I'm pretty big on Invinsible, and The Sword from Image. Been meaning to get into Walking Dead though.

On DC, Action Comics, Detective Comics, Nightwing (Cancelled dammit) and the Green Lantern books, and then Secret Six, probably the most entertaining of all.

On Marvel, at the moment I'm pretty big on their cosmic stuff, like Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy, then Daredevil, Wolverine ongoing, Cable, Ghost Rider, and Thunderbolts.

Been meaning to read 100 Bullets, but I think I'll wait till it's over to check it out, and Fables too, I hear it's pretty good. Hajime no Ippo and Claymore are probably the only manga that I read, but goddamn are they good.

I like a lot of comics, but artwise, one of my favorites is Blacksad. I can't remember who it's by, though. D:
