Just a quick question.

I've been watching the gnomon tutorials and they use the headus uvlayout software and I'm very interested in buying this for my work. I'm not understanding how the license works for the software...my understanding is that the Student version expires after a year and the product is discontinued. The hobbyist and Professional versions don't have an expiring license that disallows you to use their product?

Hey Cheynecg,

That's exactly right, the student version does expire after a year. The only thing that expires from the hobbyist and professional versions of the software is the ability to receive free updates and access customer service which you can extend after the 12 month period. I'm guessing there logic is you won't be a student forever so why should you have continued access to the student version but that's just my assumption. You can always upgrade from the student version to any of the other versions before the 12 months are up and I believe you receive a discount on whatever version you're upgrading to.
