couple of brainfarts-
the pink monster was just a random warmup

the sketch of the 2 dudes and that turtle was done during a meeting-so probably mostly subconscious stuff :P

and the one with all the kids n big monster was done while watching FLCL-heavily influenced by one of my fav. scenes.(it'll be obv. if you're familiar with that anime)

I have these 2 sketchbooks-they're really slender rectangle shaped books-very widescreen or tall portrait-depending on how you hold them of course :P
anyways I reserve these 2 for my subconscious drawings-where I try to shut my brain off for a couple of hours and draw whatever my hand seems to want to draw-no judging or erasing(it's done in pen then copic warmgrey markers) these are usually tough to start up for me, as my brain is usually racing with 'life stuff'
I spend most of the time staring at the page and waiting for something to happen-then just kind of trace what my mind's eye is seeing...not sure if that makes sense

this is from my giant sketchbook that I don't touch anymore-too big to scan and a PITA do do in parts...
the characters entangled in this cluttered chaos are part of a personal project that I think I'll perpetually work on for the rest of my life without ever releasing LOL..ugh..
anyways they're bounty hunters that eventually become demon hunters-since there's a sudden influx of demon infestation-something to do with a 4th dimensional shift or whatever...
the ogar character in my character design forum is from this story

got inspired by LeSean Thomas's mummra sketches in his Midnight Marauders book
anyways did some of my own
might be a good bi weekly challenge idea-80s cartoon/toy characters....

I did a greyscale painting of one of these (front view top left of the top page) but not sure where to post it....maybe in the WIP thread?
