The Crash
only the lucky few survive...

The Story

Sheridan has boarded the merchant ship "Goron II". He is to retrieve a rare specimen for his master’s business… but fate has other plans for the complacent man. A strange ship malfunction has occurred, and the ship is being pushed by the gravitational pull of an unknown planet.

The Ship's able pilots are able to crash land the vessel in a frightening and hostile environment, one that is filled with bones and the stench of death.

Only a couple men and women survive the crash, our unlikely hero Sheridan, amongst them.

A bounty hunter, a captain, two pilots, a doctor, a nurse, three deck hands , a scientist, a technician, a couple of soldiers, and our unlikely hero is all that’s left…

Challenge Brief

Illustrate a moment of this description… are you in the ship with Sheridan and the crew? Or is your illustration after the wreck? Is Sheridan waking up to find dead bodies around him? Or does he wake up outside underneath a massive skeleton? You can Illustrate the entire crew or just Sheridan alone, but you MUST include Sheridan.

Sheridan is a character taken from the recent CharacterFORGE , a weekly character activity right here on the HUB.

Our friend Secret Science wrote a pretty lengthy description of our hero, here:

Use the Sheridan provided above as a start. You can make him your own, but make sure you keep his features as close to this image as you can. The rest of the crew's design ( if you choose to illustrate them ) is up to you.

The locale can be anywhere you want it to be. You can paint the inside of the merchant ship the "Goron II", or the outside of this unknown planet. Just make sure whatever location you decide only enhances the drama of the situation.

Guidelines

- Illustrate The Crash. Must include Sheridan ( but he doesn't have to be the focus of the painting either).

- All types of illustration open. ( interior pages, card formats, book covers, magazine covers)

- Working File can be any size you want, finals to be no wider than 1000 pixels ( you can include detail shots if you want).

- Post FINAL image in FINALS THREADS ( to be posted later)

- Post your progress in this thread! Don't be shy!

What a killer job you two have done on the graphics and story for this round. (Of course I don't want to forget either about what a bang up job secret_science did on the Sheridan drawing itself.) I'm jealous of all of you.

great! will be an incredible adventure. Now we know the main character (and the secret_science's sheridan fit pefectly that role) and the setting its so promising... i'm really excited to see this fantastic shift in the cghub activities.

I would just suggest the following. ground the character to the left, sheridan screaming. it would do wonders to your composition and drama! But loving it so far!!!
