      Default Before i restart

so.. my pc crashed and destroyed my only psd of the pic.. this i took with my cellphone camera of my screen to show my one friend my progress, and now its all i have left.
so before i restart i was hoping to get a quick scetch over of the image, or even comment critiques, cos fresh opinions are always great.

for the awesome peeps who help me. Stuff that was added after this pic was taken: the sword is grey perspex at the grip, so you can see through it, i also added some glows(like in the mask). she has a perspex rectangle armour plate that extends from the just above the elbow to just above the shoulder. from her boobs down there will be normal skin with tatoos on her abdomin on the side facing you (extending from below her boobs to the top of ther legs, covering most of the side facing you, tats are of lotus flowers & snakes)

        Default halp.

        Hello guyze,
I'm new at the forums and I'm in desperate need of a little help here!
This is an almost finished piece - that I actually considered finished twice ago, but then came back to it as I really wasn't satisfied.
I removed some layers from above the image to make it better to visualize/paint over.

I just can't get her pose right. Her leg always look weird and not natural enough for me, and it bothers me that the other leg isn't showing - and neither her other arm - what, I think, makes it seem that she lacks the right part of her body... I don't know what to do with her left hand, also - I feel she looks handicaped when I hide behind the leg but I can't find a better position.
I just want her to look relaxed and contemplative.

And also, those eggs... they seem so lame and I have no idea what to do to make them look better placed and more natural.

I've spented several hours trying to find a solution for all of these, looked for references like crazy, and couldn't do it. Please save my life.

heres my attempt to fix your pic. i can give you the psd if youde like. you werent looking at the girl from the same perspective as the nest. i enlarged the head the leg was too short. and also, always remember what effect objects have on eachother, specifically the arm on the leg, you need to create that compression to achieve a more natural feel. anyway, i cant render like you so i cant get the back arm to get back. but, i hope i helped. oh and i just did a low opacity splatter brush set to overlay and colour jitter on, on the eggs, and a bit on the skin for pores.

Thank you a lot, JarretOnions!! Indeed you were right about the angle not being the same as the nest... I couldn't see that before, heh!
No need to send me the psd, thank you! I think I can manage to fix it by looking at the image you posted.
I also liked what you did on the eggs, they look more natural now. =) Thank you a lot for your help.

If anyone else have any other tip for me to improve this painting I would appreciate it as well!

cool not a problem buddy the only other tip i have is maye soften up the hair a little, like your ariel pic is one of my favorites ive seen around the site.. not as soft as that but still the building it up from soft underneath to sharper on top in certain areas will give it volume. and it will blend in to the rest of your pic cos its the only super sharp part.

                here is my quick paintover.
you should work more with the lighting to get your image more interesting.

Thank you a lot, irawan - great idea to work more with the lighting. Another thing I haven't thought about, hehe. I still didn't have the time to work on this painting using the help you guys provided me - but I am keeping the paintovers and suggestions to use them when I come back to it. =)

                    Default Room Lighting

I'm a bit stumped... The problem is that I am trying to figure out the lighting for this room, you see the biggest obstacle for me is that the "Large-Bearded-Head" on the left side of the room is suppose to be a Furnace (with fire raging from his mouth and a warm glow coming from his eyes). So I'm not sure how to go about executing the lighting on his face as well as how it interacts with the other objects in the room.

"Some pointers and some directions would be GREATLY Appreciated (even suggestions on the color scheme, which I haven't yet figured out")

Nice to see this thread is up and running!
Here's mine, It really needs some fresh eyes and hard critiques!
Please don't mind the face of the second monk, it's just a filler!

Hello Cerkvenik,i did some paintover for what i thought you should change to make this artwork looking more cool. First things first i've put a bit more contrast to your work, because you have quite strong light source, from what i see,it looks like a summer light. So you have to put a bit more contrast. Second thing are the breast muscles on your first monk, you did them as if they are flat surface, even a bit drawn inside, and his right muscle, along with shoulder look like he had some scar from burning.I brought him some volume, and made him look like i think he should be,it's not much, but i think it looks better. Third thing caught my eye was a shadow from the hand of the monk on a pillar (the guy behind your first monk)
I removed a shadow, because your light source is not in appropriate position.Light touching your monks is like it's coming from far left side of a painting, and shadow that was droped looks like it was hit with a light closer to middle of a painting. Forth and the last thing, the guy behind everyone, shrink his head a bit. That's all. I hope i helped with my amateur english, and i hope that you will agree with me

                          Default Room Lighting 2

I'm still in need of help with trying to figure out the lighting for this room. Again the primary source of light is coming from the stone furnace from the left side of the room, I just don't know much about how the light from there would effect the whole room. Any help woud be GREATLY welcomed

Hello there Dossren,i see you need help with lightning,i took your work, and made my version of how light would affect environment. First you must know about diferent light sources. For example a Sun cast parallel rays, and in your case spot light cast rays in every direction, and you have direct light, you can see that type in theatres, when light is cast on an actor...I did one work to show you how would i have done it,and the other,i draw scheme to explain how does spot light cast rays. I hope i have helped you a bit.
