Hello my name is Tyler Scarlet! I mostly do character design and conceptual artwork but I also do random and weird illustrations on the side! Yay! I also play ping pong and like to eat candy.

These are some sketches of a summoner and her summons. The first two summon sketches are melee summons and the one after is of a mage summon!

This is an Aztec themed mountain warrior I am working on. I was playing around with different silhouette and proportions to come up with different, interesting shapes. The final line drawing has two stone heads on his back with water leaking out of their mouths.

This is another character that I designed for the same story as the Aztec Warrior (aka a rpg video game). He's an Arabian gunner!

These are sketches of a Desert Oasis city! They are of two different buildings that incorporate elements of the oasis into them. The first one has its own forest/garden oasis under it and is right next to the central lake. The second one is also on the holy lake and has stairs going right into it. These building are used for religious purposes and as a community gathering area.








These are some sketches that I did from reference that influenced the desert oasis.




These characters are mercenaries who use the desert oasis city for supplies and housing in between jobs and such. They are the Arabian Knights inspired by reading the Arabian Nights and looking at Arabian Nights Illustrated book. It's a really good book and can be found for pretty cheap on amazon! Anyways these characters are the Arabian Knights because they are a combination of inspiration from the Arabian nights/Arabian outfits and medieval knight armor! Hope you like them!




These are some of the weapons the Arabian Knight mercenaries use. These, like their armor, are inspired by Arabian/medieval weapons.

Here are some quick tree/forest paintings! I was just messing around with different brushes and such! I like the last one the most







i know trees are boring... oh well ha ha but here are some forest creatures! Below are some forest spirits.


This is a caterpillar like creature that sells you goods at his little shop/hut in the forest.


And this is a forest Ogre!

These are some tribal warriors and witch doctors! The first one is of a hunter showing his hunting gear to the left and his normal village gear to the right. The second one down is a witch doctor and the other ones are tribal warriors! hope you like them!

These are designs for a biker and his robot sidekick. The first page is of different character designs. At this point i was trying to figure out what kind of character that i wanted to go with and was just exploring. The second page is of quick renderings of the first sketches along with a few bike and robot sketches. I ended up deciding to go with a biker and a robot sidekick idea and the final sketch rendering is of them together! Also a note on the why i was using the red marker. I was trying a different technique which was to make a quick silhouette in red marker and then going back over it to add details. i liked the technique a lot because it allowed me to look at the character as a silhouette and then i was able to explore a little before moving onto the next silhouette. this is compared to the black silhouette, which is good too but i still like doing it this way sometimes.
