First of all, sorry for the delay everyone. We've been very busy on our end and while it's not an excuse I hope you guys can understand.

I wanted to do a Frazetta tribute since Frank passed away yesterday. I know that the Story Tellers contest is doing a tribute as well and my intention is definitely not to step on their toes in anyway. I just feel that since the theme over there is specifically Conan, it would be nice to do an all around Frazetta tribute. There are so many worlds that Frank has created that you can choose from pretty much everything. I also feel like we NEED to give a tribute to the king of fantasy illustration!!!! He has affected all of us, either directly or indirectly. soooo.... let's pay tribute to the greatest illustrator of the genre. Whether it be painting something in his style or painting his portrait, or recreating one of his iconic paintings or characters. The canvas is open! So please let's get some participation this time around guys and gals!!!!

i had no idea who frank frazetta was until i saw the news but when i looked up his work it was really incredible and inspirational so i wanted to try do something for this jam.

im still rubbish at drawing digitally so i took this image of his and roughly traced it then started working it up using the original as a refrence. maybe once i have done i will try and draw something from scratch in his style. here is the original image. i know copying his work dose not really count to be judged but if i post this here i will be more inspired to work on it and make an original piece.

I agree with Joevriens... This is a Topic which should be respected and Very very worthy!

So, Finished the shoe and the axe.
Next it'll be the sword!

TIP: For those who are re-creating his works, you probably noticed he's the master of value too... So Squint your eyes and noticed what's the lightest and darkest.

This is the easiest and best way to get the values (not only)!
