Default HPL inspired piece:Cthulhu & Co

Hi guys,first post here
This is apiece i did originally for Concepart.org Daily Sketch Group
I thought it was a good starting point and i decided to develop it a bit more
From top to bottom you have the original entry( a way too saturated and contrasted),then halfway development step,and far bottom the point where I'm right now
Any crit will be VERY welcome!

Hey Ming, welcome aboard. Why did you lose the bubbles? They were a great cue that this guy is underwater.

    You should check the perspective on the box and the creature's legs. Something doesn't look quite right.
