And here's a new painting
Ladies in a Pie ... nursery rhyme or fiendish fantasy? I'm thinking I'll title it 'Four and Twenty' Oil 17"x24" Here are some detail shots I had the girls and the pie drawn from the beginning but I had some trouble figuring out what the background was going to be. I eventually decided on the branches because of how they bring out the nest like feeling of the pie, multiplying the different meanings and associations that the viewer can pull out of this. I should mention since I just started this sketchbook here, if you want to go back further than what is here, there is a whole year and a half of previous sketches and such to look through on my blog |

Very nice!
I admit... there's a very nice flow in your lines, Rob. I think it makes all poses dynamic in a way. Keep it up, I enjoy seeing these. ![]() -Patrick
