and heres 2 more that i started doing last night... just trying to improve skills by painting quickly. think i'm suffering from lack of an idea... they keep changing

decided that i would use references this time to get some colour and inspiration... did these three in about 1hr and half

i like the bottom 2 alot. if anyone has any critique or any advice im more than willing to listen and take on board

well i thought i'd post this as a wip. i started this at work but its not gonna get used there so i'll just finish it at home.

i'm having fun just making silhouettes or however its spelt.

hey!, nice stuff, u should use a harder brush to harder the edges, keep working

thanks for the encouragement. i'm just sketching as much as possible to get better... will definately try a harder brush

only had a little bit of time to do this...

I keep looking at my images and think that there isnt enough contrast or punch... not sure how to fix it

wasnt sure whether to add this to my gallery or just to here. i've been reading an tutorial/article in the ImagineFX Fantasy Art Exhibition volume 2 by Marko Djurdjevic and he talks about just letting your painting run free and see where it goes. He also talks about just painting over mistakes to learn from them and forgetting about the undo button. I'm finding it helpful, just the idea behind it all. So this is kinda what came out of that... Wasnt sure where i was going with it and then out popped some kind of zoidbergian-esk creature...

steps forward i think for me but i'm still missing movement, atmosphere and drama...

comments and critique more than welcome

first up, a progression shot of some guy... wanted to work on my characters...

and next up... some kind of crazy ninja robot with an axe...

improvements? i think i want to take the second to a more completed stage...

im not sure this was finished enough to put into my gallery so i thought i'd whack it here.

followed some techniques of a tutorial... was fun but not sure how to get it to a further stage without lookin underdone...
