Tree is something real different by You (Laputa tree

).
For clouds..
Some tip to do color picking is- Use mixer Brush to mix different colors. Then pick highlights and midtones and work under the open sky..
Clouds are real easy when you go out and enjoy the clouds.

I know. I need to do lots of nature studies.

Mixer brush. I'm not sure I have that. Maybe I'll try Painter next time for clouds. I wish I could work outside in digital, but I don't have a tablet or smartphone to do so. Maybe pencil can suffice to get a hang of shape and shading. I will do that as soon as the weather is getting better again.

mixer Brush is a feature in Photoshop since CS5 (4th brush under brush tool)..Painter is very sluggish in comparison with PS and not very versatile as well.
To make Robots, always remember to make them Hard surfaced(distinctive edges) instead of making them organic.
Hope this helps and may you create a Transformer next time

I may accidently have deleted that one form the collection. PS is always so cluttered with presets. Maybe I'll put it on one of my HDD's. I shall find it. I haven't done much with Painter yet, but I want to give it a few more tries.

Right, next time I'll try to make a more sharp-edged robot. Although I have to say that I'm a fan of curves and stuffs. We'll see about the Transformer

I love the bot and also the tree rock stuff. For clouds use custom brushs, you draw a cloud you make a brush and there you go. Be lazy.
