1h study of Repin:

I was mostly looking at the textures and mark making technique, but his colors rock like hell too.

EDIT: why he reminds me so much of Coro...

Hi John, the fabric (?) the purple stuff, seems to lack form and isn't really looking well thought through as drapery, you should definitely get some reference [life/photos] for this one
other than that, i really like how you handled this, great design!
