Exclamation Monitor + Cintiq Calibration help

    Hello!

I'm sure a lot of people heard of this issue. I'm just going to talk about my brightness issues and not so much the color as this is already too complicated to the point I want to pull my hair out :|

I have a new monitor, the LG W2286 which is brighter than the Cintiq 12wx. I am very uncertain of the settings and don't know if the cintiq is right or the monitor is right.

If anyone has suggestions for a calibration program or device, please let me know!

Alright, here's a quick light study I did.

Do the dark areas look almost black to the point you can't see his arms?

Is this too bright to the point your eyes hurt?

Can you see the outline of his arms and feel comfortable with the brightness?

    Thanks!

PS - The internet and photoshop displays my images correctly but when viewing through windows viewer, they appear darker. Why is that??
