    Default The Echo Inside Sketchbook

    Hey there,

Was suggested by a very nice person that I should start a sketchbook here and try out things, had good things to say about CGHub. Just hoping to enjoy the company of other artists, speak freely/equally and try and develop =)

Still basically a beginner, so any critique or comments is always appreciated. Thanks!

Some speedies, some studies, some finished pieces and some WIP's all in the attached.

Hi Echo, your studies are looking nice. Keep going!

One advice though, try painting something using hard-edged brush only - yep, even the highlights. Your images look a bit blurry in some areas right now. It's also a good way to practice feeling the form.

      Hey Dona,

Thanks! I appreciate the comment and I'm definitely trying to do that more often now, I'm terrible for it =P I'll focus a bit further on it.

Really enjoying some of the stuff in your gallery by the way, interesting concepts on some of them especially =)

You're welcome I understand your troubles completely, I'm horrible at feeling the form of things. Must practice more, I guess

      And thank you kindly!

Just wanted to try something different today, get away from anatomy studies for a bit, at least partially. In large part because of a great post I read today, reminded me to balance a bit more.

About 5 hours of work or so... and if you ask about the hair, it's either because I started getting tired... or it's intentional because she's wearing a really, really bad wig *cough* Your pick

And no need to critique, I know it's horrible, I was just enjoying art frolicking for a bit =)
