    Default Aardvark's Artistic Ramblings

    Hi my name is Phil I'm new here. Started drawing and painting in march 2007. Late starter...blah blah. Joined ConceptArt.org back then to improve. My ConceptArt Sketchbook in case anyone is interested

    I think I've improved. Got a long way to go. I know I should draw more but work kinda saps my drive.

    Been re-arranging my life recently, getting fit and getting some balance. So when I draw nothing else in my life suffers.

    This is one of the last sketches I did. Thanks to Phil Holland for the ref.

      thats pretty solid work! i know what you're saying about balance. hard to accomplish much when i get out of whack.

          Ok here's a Bargue study I'm working on. I've had quite a break from this and it's hard getting back into it. But I decided to tone it to help more easily see and fix any errors I've missed. Hopefully I'll fix them all before this puppy is done.

              Here's my latest drawing. By no means finished, just blocking in the main masses and values. Not the best photo but you get the idea. I will have to sort out a jig for photographing pages of my sketch book.

                Damn Phil the darks in that bargue drawing are turning out very nicely. I did this one in limited value so it'll be nice to see you push the full range on this one.
