    Default Methods and Madness

Hi CGHub! I have been lurking here for years, I have finally decided to start posting my sketchbook here.

I am a Senior Environment Artist at Riot games. I started working here after working on Darksiders 2. I love sketchbooking. Please feel free to give critique or ask questions.

Riot is pretty fun. I have been there for the last 6 months or so. I am in a really fantastic team. It is always good when you feel like you are being pushed artistically.

Here are a couple more sketches.

Thanks for the kind words. Riot is definitely fun. I have never worked at a company that enjoyed their game as much as Riot does.

Here is another update. I am mostly focused on trying to create volume through hatching and implying shadows through hard and soft edges.

Great pencil sketches, I myself only have time to do a lot of pencil sketches myself and I really like your stuff. Awesome Jax, btw!

Yeah, I do most of my drawings in meetings at work, at church, or any other time when I have a dull moment. Basically anytime I would be using my phone kill time, I sketchbook instead.

I really almost never play Jax, but I love the way he looks... His voice-over kills him for me. If we made a Jax skin that was more serene I would be sooo happy.

Does anyone know how to change my thread icon? I wanted to make it something other than my Penguitar.

Yea, man, I understand you, I also doodle whenever I'm on meetings or even sometimes when I hang out with my friends :P I always carry my backpack filled with a lot of art supplies.

I've, literally, never played Jax, I'm more a Nautilus and Leona fan, sometimes I go Mordekaiser when I want to do pentakills

But I talk too much, great sketches again, love the hatching, I should start doing more hatching to my sketches instead of just random doodles :P

Nunu is definitely my favorite... even after the most recent patch. But, I also play Hecarim, Ziggs and Nami. These days I have been playing a ton of ARAM, which forces me to play a lot of people that I would not otherwise consider.

So with several of these drawings I will start with some sort of form and build an environment out of those shapes. It helps to not work on a completely blank canvas.
