Great choice of topic Brynn, I will be having a go on this one.
Here is my initial sketch. I did a few thumps beforehand. I might change quite a few elements still. I have had a hard time with the perspective on this one with the whole 120 degrees stuff. I still need to make a version where I map everything up in order to get it right. The arms should be able to "dig" ahead of the guy, which is not possible at the moment either. @ Ross I really like your sketch, especially the form and design of the tail fins are great. I will be looking forward to your update. Oh, and I have not forgot about your help a while back, I am still working on that piece ![]() @ Grumbleputty This is also a great idea! If you want a bit of advice, although I am far from being a pro, then I would look up a bit of anatomy reference for different types of joints. Like shoulder and elbow joints, either from a human, or maybe insects? That depends on what you go for. I myself have to work a lot on that as well, in order to make alle the arms and legs have the necessary degree of freedom. (You may find this link interesting; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_degrees_of_freedom) Besides that, you are off with a really good start ![]() |
