This round will forcus on two different types of studies, human anatomy (in particular skeletons) and armor.

Your ultimate goal is to design a skeleton warrior, to a specific time period. (ancient Rome, Aztec, European, Greek, ect..)

Your first task is to study and really look into the design work of the armor from the specific time period, and look at how it is worn and what it would look like with age.

Next look at the skeletons of the types of people from that time period/ region you chose this is the interesting part because skeletons from different times tend to look a little different than the modern persons skeleton.

feel free to post any studies up on here and share your works in progress!

here is a few examples of armor.

2 megs. Looks like 500KB is the limit. Not that familiar with PS. Can this be shrunk as a Jpeg or something?

Wow! Isn't anyone else working on this one? It's a cool idea.

There is a 'save for web' option (in the file menu) that allows you to look at the size (both pixel size and mB size) as well as quality. It's a quick way to save out an optimized file for this type of site.

And I totally want to do this! We shall see, as always. But it's a fantastic idea.

Question - should our skeleton warrior already be an action type pose? Or do we have more freedom in that aspect?

Hey Reno - I love how they are bursting out of stone/marble/statue material. The skull of the main fellow stands out well because of the dark background, but I feel like I'm losing some of the parts of the rest of him against the other warriors. Perhaps develop more of a color differentiation as you bring out your main character? Great idea!

I'm not sure I'm taking this route yet but here's my first sketch. Some dead gladiators.

          Thanks eternal for the input.

My inspiration was the terracotta army of china. Kinda wish I could start over at this point, but its just for learning and I think I am starting to get a little more of the basics from this project.

Well, I might as well finish it, here is my WIP so far.
