This months challenge, Hell Beast!

Design, model, and texture (optional) the most hellish Hell Beast you can imagine!


Rules and guidelines:

Use references, create a mood board etc, and keep your design organic.

Anything goes: It can be fantasy, mythological, or both. It doesnt matter as long as it reeks of fierceness, power, hell fire, and destruction...umwahahahahahaah.....

Provide at least one concept and one work in progress image in the challenge thread.

Do not recycle your old models and enter it in the challenge, your entry must be created during the challenge, anyone caught will be disqualified immediately.

~ One concept and one work in progress image in the challenge thread
~ Front, Side, Back & 3/4 close up shots in clay or grayscale
~ Optional posed and textured beauty shot


~Challenge ends Sunday, February 3rd, 2013 @ 12:00 ~

IM in But got some questions is there an image limit for the final image? and if I got reference and wips should I post one reference Image and one wip?

Hey NjOrOg3,

Try to keep all your submissions around 1000-1500 pixels, both height and or width. And yes, we would like to see your reference material (if any) and at least one WIP image before your final submissions...

Yes,

working from an existing concept is fine, as long as its an original concept (doesn't belong to an existing IP), and you give credit to the designer...

I'm getting in late too! I'm skeptical on my ability to finish but since I took the time to concept I'll post up my progress.

I was doing some reading on Biblical descriptions of Hell and the overriding impression is never ending fear, agony, torture, separation and shame. It made me think of a nasty beast whose job was to inflict all of that. This ugly biped pushes his heavy jaw across the ground terrorizing poor souls. He scoops them into his mouth plunging the victim into a bath of hot stomach acids where they churn in a unique agony. Their body travels though the monster to be excreted as a pile of flaming waste. The searing anguish is mixed with the humiliation of clawing free from the hellish dung. Torture from front to back and the cycle repeats itself. No escape.

I've got a Dynamesh started but have so much work to do!

I have the proportions roughed out in Dynamesh on the Beast. I'm learning here so I think I'll detail it out a bit further in this state.
