Someone at a networking event said the key to finding new positions is networking more so than applying online endlessly.

At this point am willing to try anything indeed, but nothing seems to come of it either approach. I speak to folks and often leave a good impression while at events, however it seems as though I hardly ever get to collaborate with anyone or nothing comes of it.

Also I only got two positions from applying endlessly to places, that is no good, I am currently in a huge pickle. What are your sentiments on this?

Heard the exact same thing mate, but unfortunately I myself am a forced shut in and i cant network in meatspace, so I find myself with the only option of applying online endlessly.
