Challengers! Hereth lie the rules for this round's challenge! Make sure to read them entirely!

Objectives

I think it's about time the Anatomicae challenges tackled perspective, it has been done before, but honestly, we can't get enough of it. It's difficult to master and it's key to being a good artist, so with a cheerful spirit I dare say "Bring it!"
Thinking for a good perspective challenge was tough, but the idea of an old Apothecary Shop with lots of stuff hanging around was the most interesting idea, in terms of perspective and story telling, I can't wait to see what will come out of this challenge, so onwards, people!

Rules and Requirements

- Challengers are required to show their WIP and Reference Materials. These challenges are an opportunity for all of us to make contact with other artists and be a part of a growing community and it would be unfair for the artists who are making an effort to share their work and ideas if you are allowed to enter the finals without participating in the WIP thread.
- Challengers are to do an image of the interior of an apothecary shop. It can be placed in any setting (Fantasy, sci fi, etc.) People may or not be included in the image, but the focus of study will be the shop in itself and the use of perspective on it.
- Remember to always post whatever reference you are using!

- Here are a couple reference images and some links of interest:

First sketches, I wanted to explore different perspective views before picking one, although It's probable I'd stick with the first one... I will try one last more, based on a sphere-distorted perspective

These are my references and the quick sketch I have so far. I'm doing sort of a photo study based on my second reference and then adding to it. Hopefully that's alright!

Cool topic! I was wondering if it's allowed to create a basic 3d setup of the location as reference?

Here are some sketches I did, still unsure which one I like the most.

Figure I will get in on this one try and work on some perspective, only have a real quick sketch for the night plan on doing more thinking of a voodoo type apothecary shop with a bunch of bottles hanging from the ceiling may change it as I go like I said just a real rough idea.

      Hello all.

Hey guys, I owe you all a huge apology.
I just got flooded with work and barely had any time to set the finals thread, however it's up and running:

      http://cghub.com/forum/showthread.ph...940#post152940

I'm giving a couple of days for everyone to upload their work, that way the people who participated in the WIP can get the time to see the finals thread on time and post their finals.

Also, this will probably be the last anatomicae challenge I'll be moderating, I've simply had too much work lately and I think some fresh blood will do a lot of good to the Anatomicae challenges.

Anyways, thanks for your patience, after the voting polls for this challenge are up, the Anatomicae will take a short break for the holidays!

      Cheers, guys!

@mayanew: Hey, Mayanew, you're welcome to post your final image on the finals thread anyways, I'll make sure it goes to poll with the rest
