Default Kung Fu Panda Vs. Wall-E?

So I have to ask this question, between Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E, which did you like better? Please don't start a flame war, I want to know your thoughts, don't just say one is better than the other, but why?

Is Dreamworks moving into a place to dethrone Pixar as industry leader? I want to know what you guys think!

      Definitely Kung Fu Panda.
Wall-E wasn't bad but the story was rather childish in my opinion. Kung Fu Panda was for, I believe, a broader audience. I think the characters were also more interesting, and so what the theme of the movie. It was also funnier.

As for Dreamworks vs Pixar, I couldn't tell. Pixar's graphics are still incredible. But beauty is not everything when it comes to movies.

I enjoyed both~ But overall story line, I preferred wall•e. I liked that the fact that it was a social commentary on our society with the environment. I thought it was just adorable and really inspiring~

I like kung fu panda, but for other reasons~ Mores o for the animation, and it was plain fun. However, the story line was typical and very predictable~

I think I liked Kung Fu Panda better. While neither story was hugely complex (I love movies that make me think), Panda had a little more depth than Wall-E.

As for who's industry leader...I really couldn't say. Dreamworks does better in appealing to a broader audience while Pixar seems like it's still geared mainly for the children's crowd. But that's my opinion.

Although I enjoyed Kung Fu Panda, Wall-e just had so much heart and originality, not to mention such beautifully designed sets and characters.

dreamworks stuff is good but still not as great as pixar, for me i feel pixars stuff are getting better every time they come out with a new movie where dreamworks stuff just seems to be almost all the same.... same punchlines same jokes and so on.....

pixar may be aimed at kids but really it appeals to all audience it just sneaks up on them and slaps people in back of the head making them enjoy the scenery and stories reminisce of old disney work and storytelling.

dreamworks seems to be recycling a lot of their old jokes from shrek and stuff, but i mean their stuff is still good but does not compare to what pixar is doing. but dreamworks seems to be set on quantity instead of quality.... their other movie bee failed so hard in my opinion.

but this summers wall e and kung fu panda are both in their own way, but i still prefer wall e because of the soft and touching story and its really imaginative.

Wall-E has my preferrence. Its a very sweet love story with amazing scenery. The fact that they have pictured our future world in a believable way (over consumering this world) is really fun. Then you have this sad little robot that actually is going through a big adventure in the film. All the design is beautifull and the animation is unbelievable.

Indeed I agree with the fact that Pixar evolves every time.. it seems like they put more work in their projects. Dreamworks has amazing work but not every project is getting better like Pixar's. Anyways my thoughts.

This is an interesting topic for me because I was dealing with one of my friends exactly the same question...

For me Wall-E was the best film from Pixar ever (witch is completely different opinion that my friend has ) You know I really dont like the blithering kind of films like Shrek. And as well as Kung Fu Panda was a little bit like these blithering films I enjoy it VERY much, in fact I went to the cinema two times to see it, because its funny and very well done. But its only good jokes and I think that once you see this movie for about ten times, you will have enough of this, because you will remember all the jokes no matter how good they were ...

But Wall-E is a kind of emotive story that I can see anytime. I know that if I will look at this film in two years I will enjoy it as well as I saw it for the first time. IMHO Wall-E's story is imortal. I dont know if there was to hot in the cinema when I was there, but I could feel that my eyes are really sweating Mostly in the emotive scenes

Panda was a more enjoyable movie. Wall-E was a little too serious and definitely not as appealing to kids as Panda.

                      Just my 2 cents.

I have to give it to Kung Fu Panda...by a inch. Wall-E had more charm but, Kung Fu Panda kept me entertained the whole way through. In comparison - Wall-E did not.

                            Presto was better than both.

I preferred Wall-E. I think they held Jack Black back too much throughout Kung Fu Panda. I was left wishing more of his humor seeped through. I preferred Wall-E mostly because it had a lot to the movie, but was so extremely interesting, practically without words.

I own both bluray. Love them both.

But I watch Kung Fu Panda more than Wall-E, so I'd tip my hat to the Panda.

It's hard comparing the 2, because they're such different genres.

It's like trying to compare The Big Lebowski to Fightclub.
