Default Question about 100% zoom in corel painter 12

Hey everyone. So being relatively new to digital art I am trying to replicate my drawing experience on paper to the digital realm and one of those tasks is replicating natural drawing motions on paper accurately digitally. I am going to begin with the problem that has caused me to ask this question and then talk about my findings in the third paragraph. For those of you who don't want to read the wall of text, my question is "Does corel painter interpret 100% zoom differently than photoshop? And if so, is it possible to change it to behave the same as photoshop?". Read below for my evidence that it might.

One thing I have noticed in the past is that I zoom in way too far when I am drawing and because I am drawing on a tablet the small line I am trying to draw, let's say an ellipse that you are trying to darken, ends up getting fuzzy because you are using such large hand gestures on a detail that may only be an inch or so in print. If I were to be doing this on paper I would be making relatively small controlled movements of my hand to darken this ellipse. If you are trying to make clean linework with good line quality, this becomes a problem and ends up taking significantly longer than working on paper (for me). I know I could just draw the linework on paper and scan it in but I think it'd be nice to do it all digitally.

So with that said, I decided to figure out what it really means to draw at 100% in photoshop and corel painter. I did this by measuring a 2 inch block on my intuos and taping off both ends so I would know how far I could draw between the two tapes. My goal was to find out how long a line appeared in photoshop at 100% zoom that was drawn 2 inches long. To check on photoshop, because I know it is relative to the zoom, I made a 2inx2in square using rulers in the program so I would know it was exact. In photoshop at 100%, as would be hoped, when drawing between my two tapes the resulting line on the monitor was indeed 2 inches (fit perfectly in the square). However, when I did this same test in corel painter, the line was only about 1 inch long in painter at 100%. Does corel painter interpret 100% zoom differently than photoshop? And if so, is it possible to change it to behave the same as photoshop?

    Thanks everyone in advance.
If it matters I'm using an intos 4 large with a 24" monitor.

Make sure you are using the same document size and resolution in both of the given programs..then it will not differentiate!

So basically, 100% in any program is the size it would be on paper? So if you are drawing one inch then it is one inch in real life?

100% in any program is basically the actual size of the document.
You need to understand that digital medium and Paper are very different in nature. And for that you always have to keep in mind the end output while producing your art.

For example:- art you will be producing for the comic will differentiate than the Web based stuff..

      1- Resolution is pixels/inches (PPI)
2-Color modes like RGB or CMYK are different..(CMYK is for printing)
Just check the following tutorial RGB > CMYK CONVERSION FOR PRINT
3-Pixels or Inches or cm or mm are units you can select according to your needs..
Eg:- If you want a poster 22 * 20 inches than you will select Inches more often than pixels or cm!

Also In preferences (Ctrl+K in photoshop) there are options for using Guides and grids and Units /Rulers and they have different settings by default!

So if you are using rulers by default then it is actually by "cm" and not inches!
      Hope this clears your doubts
