We recently launched http://sketchfab.com, a free service to publish interactive 3D models online in real-time without plugin.

We support 25 native 3D formats, as well as normal maps, lights, specular, diffuse, transparency...

You can embed our 3D viewer on any web page, as easily as a YouTube video. On forums where iframes aren't supported, you can still embed automatically a thumbnail of your model with a link to the 3D view (example below).

We also have exporters to uploads your 3D models directly from within your favorite software.
