These are pretty big arent they? Would be interesting to see how you sell the sense of scale on this monster.

Nice pose, looks like its stalking something, are you going to have two of them circling each other?

    Yes I think so, I would like to prepare a nice rendering with...I don't know, fishes or something like that, under the sea.

        @johnchen I think im gonna keep it simple for now, and give it that stalking feel. Im glad you noticed:P I have a few ideas roaming in my head. I wanted to make ancient hominid hunter sitting beside him. As if they were hunting together. I also wanted to make lying on its belly. Alert but not yet in stalk mode. I might add some kind of ancient carving on the stones though.

          both of your sculpts looks like they could have been published in the same book.

          @jchave49 what kind of pose are you gonna go for?

          Still some places i need to work out.

          constructive criticism always welcome.

          @Snno1
          Thanks man, haha I could make the same comment about yours! I really like that pose and environment. Fits really nice. Im excited to see everyones final! Um... Im not really sure what I'm gonna do for a pose yet, Ill post some pictures of em here soon.

          Quick question for anyone who could answer. Can our final beauty render be a clay render, or does it have to be a textured final image??

              I like yours Snno1, the stout figure reminds me of a Frazetta painting.

              Wanted to make a prehistoric crustacean, started turning into a squid.

              @iime
              Looks cool, what kind of prehistoric creature is it?
              As per brief -
              *Use references, keep your design organic
              *If designing your own, you must be able to explain how this creature evolved in your concept, or your entry will not be accepted.

              @Jfacolas
              Yes, you can change your concept for the final, please post your new references and WIPS.

              @jchave49
              Per brief requirements -
              ~ Front, Side, Back & 3/4 close up shots in clay or grayscale
              ~ Optional posed and textured beauty shot

              @Snno1 concept is looking great, although I think the creature itself is still looking pretty rough, hope you get time to polish it for the final.

              Keep going everyone, looking great.
