    Default Halo - Hard surface modeling


    Hello everybody, I'm looking for some concepts that i can use to model a "Halo" Fan Art.

    I'm looking for some vehicle or some asset complex to model, I'll be really happy if somebody has some references or some concept that you did and I can use.

      Default Concept chose




      Well, I chose that concept art from the game halo 4 that I will reproduce in high poly.
      I will be reporting the progress than I hope to have some critiques that can help in the development.

        hey everybody, that is the first update that I'm posting.
        here is all the blockage pretty much, on the next step, I will start braeking the meshes to get the original form of each piece.

        During the blockage i found some issues trying to match the camera projection with the concept and than i found some inconsistences that i fixed moving 2 of the capsules around, to keep the space between the capsules the same.

        the part on the back I shoul figure out later what I'm goint to do, since that i can reutilize some props from front.

            Wow, that's going to look cool as hell when you're done. Great job on setting up the initial environment. Definitely looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

              Default updating - prop_2


              Hey everybody, I'm uploading what I just did. I'm not working in this project all day because I still having some homeworks to do and I'm in a internship, so I must handle 3 diferents projects at the same time.
              I'm very excited with this environment, since that all the pieces have some particular detail to model, what means that I will not replicate the same objects around the level.

                  Hey everybody, sorry for all this time with no wips, I'm taking a internship so i have just few hours a day to keep with this project, but it's coming!
                  here is the prop that took me 2 hours to figure out how to model keeping the right highlight, because of the curvature with cuts, I just got the right aspect of the static in the second try, its not done yet but I'm working on it!

                          Hey everybody, I'm just uploading a prop that i start to texture.

                          I know even close to finish the Envi to start texture everything, BUT... I have Class tomorrow and i have to turn a prop textured, so i took it to don't spend time modeling something else, and also to start seeing how i gonna texture it in a future after finish all the models.

                          The texture is not finished also, is just my homework for tomorrow <- that is cool xD

                          It's straight from Maya viewport.

                            Default update - Porp 7_1


                            Hello everybody, Today i delivered my texture prop rendered in Mental ray with a shader that took me around 30 minutes to build and set up.
                            I also modeled a small prop where the capsule is connected.

                            Render really low quality just trying to see how it looks like with the texture assigned:



                            new asset that I modeled today (just the connector on the bottom).
                            I will model some kind small details and wires connecting some pieces each other so its looking too empty right now but I'll be fixing it later.

                            Just saying... I will stop texturing the assets until get all the assets modeled.
