Default Games Art Exhibition London City Hall, Calling for Entries!!

Last shout out to anybody involved with video game art, that would like to be included in the LGF Video Game art exhibition at city hall from 22nd - 26th October. You do not have to submit original artwork, it can be high res prints too!

    Contact: nadia@londongamesart.com

We are looking for video game artwork that can be exhibited and/or auctioned off for the charity Special Effect .

We would prefer original game artwork as this will undoubtedly raise significantly more money for Special Effect. However we would also welcome high quality copies and/or limited editions prints signed by the artists too.

Please can you forward this link to anybody that you think might want to contribute.

It will be a great opportunity to showcase video game artwork and is guaranteed to attract lots of interest from the media, industry movers and shakers as well as the general public."
City Hall to host London games art exhibition

A free to visit public exhibition of video game art will feature in the closing week of this year’s London Games Festival.

It will be hosted at Mayor Boris Johnson’s City Hall and will run for five days. Rare pieces have been donated by developers, publishers and artists across a range of medium including paintings and sculpture.

Contributors include Guerrilla Games, Sports Interactive, Team 17, Warner Bros, Pop Cap, Jess Bradley, Konami, Lady Shotgun and Media Molecule.

The pieces will all be auctioned off at the end of the exhibition with proceeds going to games charity Special Effect.

“This is a real coup for this year’s London Games Festival,” event director Kirsty Payne stated. “The generosity of the games industry continues to astonish – we’ve already been donated some incredible pieces which have never been seen in public before. So not only will it make a fascinating exhibition of very rare art, it’ll raise a significant amount for Special Effect.

“Anyone wishing to donate material for should get in touch with us at UKIE and we’ll do the rest. The art exhibition will form the cornerstone of this year’s Games Festival, so it’s a brilliant opportunity to get your art in front of a unique audience whilst raising money for charity at the same time.”

The exhibition will run between October 22nd and 26th. London Games Festival kicks off on September 27th.
