The bloop! I have been doing some thumbnails over the last few days and I knew from the beginning I wanted to do something on a massive scale. I decided to go with a sort of.. larger than mountains crustacean that burrows into the ocean for eons. Then it awakes, taking the land, the sea bed and so forth up into the clouds. The four tendons near the head area funnel water and food into it's body. I imagine it feeds for decades, destroying eco systems before it resubmerges.

So.. er.. in 1997 when it awoke, the sound came from it rising from the oceans. Then humanity was probably screwed. Different time line, of course!

Rob_curbishley awesome concept! I like the perspective, the design, I think it may be confused with the slogan as it leaves the water and The Bloop is purely a creature "aquatic", in theory.

Hey Machuna,

Liking the colors on yours! I think it should be okay. It was under water when it made the noise. It just happens to be so large that it rises out of the ocean! I made sure to base it off of aquatic creatures (hermit crabs, mostly).

Hopefully it's cool!

Looking great everyone!

Here's where I'm currently at. The mouth needs a lot more work. It's the focal point in the picture yet I feel like it's the worst part. I'll probably make the whole thing a bit lighter as well. I have bad experiences about super dark works that look fine on my own screen but total crap on others.
