An alien creature with a bit of an explanation in the ways it breeds and how it affects an atmosphere and flora, through some visual additions. .1.1.1 Hydroflux + size chart.

Advanced Photoshop Magazine workshop for a creature design. I wasn't too happy with how this came out, although I wasn't trying to make it pop too much I think it came out very flat, more than intended. I wanted the rest of the canvas to have that old cave painting feel + size chart.

Morning Sun Nap: Originally intended for a weekly creature concept activity. I didn't have time to enter it but took more time then to polish it up. One of the softer side of ideas I've produced.

i like your thumbnails and design ideations more than i like your finished pieces, for some reason.
it's really cool to see all of these creatures and characters with all this personality, just chilling in your sketchbook or wherever it is you draw. ;D
work on your figures, they're on the weak side.

bapsi - hey, thanks.. generally all the pencil and pen sketches you see are drawn in 2 different sketchbooks. I have a smaller one I draw in mainly with the pigment liners and another for the pencil.

The 4 winged creature was HIGHLY influenced by the creature from "The Mist". I take no credit in the actual design of that, it's more "fan art" than original design. It was drawn with The Mist' creature in mind, but without reference from the movie, so it has its differences.

          Marius - thanks
          Finished this yesterday..
A quick concept of a hulking rough skinned brute. I imagine the Rakio Croc would be a slow moving scavenger with poor eye site that uses its size to intimidate others while it dines on rotting carcases, though its head and mouth are quite small in comparison to its body. Produced this during LiveStream sessions.

Hogort - Blind hog-like creature with multiple horns, tusks and spurs for inflicting damage and for protection. The males differ from the females in terms of a fain striped pattern and rough red faces. A quick concept..

            Thinodor -
A fictional prehistoric relative of the Rhino. Elements of beetles, rhino, buffalo and yak are present. The design was drawn as a thumbnail in pigment liners and painted all without reference.
