      Default Grayscale Concepts

I'm in on this one. Haven't done one of these challenges in a while, but this looks like fun! Hopefully I have the time to finish, with school just starting and all!

Here are my WIP concept sketches.. Please, let me know what you think!

I'll play. The creature forge I did was way fun. So, here it is well, here they are, three concepts. Very rough at this point. I am thinking i like the snowy one the best.. but curious to hear what other folks think.

There is a paperclip on a green rectangle in your posting taskbar menu. Using that thing you can place your attached images within the correct bulletin board code to make them full sized at the place where your cursor is when you invoke the paperclip function.

I left your external link in your post, but you won't be needing to do that now that you know how to work the attachment paperclip thing. The external link doesn't seem to be working with the formatting you used but I have made the attachment manager version show up for you.

These concepts look good. There's a lot of good brainstorming going on in here.

@ Zachary- your "plains" seem a little bit on the mountainous side, but I know how hard it can be to make plains have a cool composition. I usually think about sprinkling some ruins or trash around the fore to middle ground and stick mountains way out there in the background. Your second concept is the most like that approach.

Let's kick it up a notch.
        Here's my quick sketch.
@JoseVega - I have allways liked your sketches so they all are looking pretty slick.

@gb - ince color palettes... u got a great variation on moods... which one u choosing?
@patrick - great start... and nice values... maybe add something even further way behind the buildings to create more depth!

ALLRIGHT... I will be doing tuesday morning and probably tuesday night a livestream over
            www.livestream.com/artofjosevega

            Default Redone

Thanks for the direction, and I think my redone illustration is much more like a Forgotten plain. I went right to color, and hope it looks alright. Feedback is always welcome!

Hey guys, staring out here... hope to finish this in time, and nice to meet you ^^.

So, Here is my little review of this match so far:

nightmarejan: Those 3 values sketches looks nice, but i definitely like most the first, the depth
              is very well resolved.

rhazza: Yo! The last one is my favorite, but i have to say that i prefer the colors on the first one.
This abandoned feel is kinda nice for a place like this (at least for me). Try to combine these two.

adrasbech: Awesome dude, nice depth and the structures really tells a story, just be careful with tangencies.

JoseVega: What's up bro? i told you i would be here for the challenges huh. I wish i could get the time to watch your
streaming, but i will surely do it as soon as i get things done here. Anyways, your sketches are great as always, but
something tells me that the second one is the best choice... Maybe because of those structures and hole that reminds some epicness in the past or something like that... keep it up, it will be awesome in the end.

milkypu: Hey there! You have a nice idea going on! In a scenario like this, it would be interesting to add some structures for scale and depth. Be careful with tangencies also. keep pushing!

ZacharyMcLean: Dude, you have some serious stuff there. the last sketch is awesome. Be careful with the composition, that rock on the right is being very distractive (at least for me). Anyways, so far, so good, keep it up.

gbbishop: So, it is kinda hard to say something besides the color palette, so in that sense, the last one is the best for me, you captured a blizzard feel very quickly and it looks pretty intense.

Patrik_P: The mood seems very nice and the color are pretty good for me, maybe some more elements for scale and depth. Hope to see your final.

Sbapstien: The composition is nice, try to adjust the values to create more depth and add more elements for scale.

And here is mine, pretty rough though...
I'll probably finish the first one, the colors seems better for this subject.
