    Default Wip 1

Here is my fist WIP of Frankenstein. I decided to go for a slimmer build on his body. I wanted to give him more of a old style feel so I went with 50's style clothing.
Do you all think I'm going in the right direction?

          So here is sketched outline
+light and shades sketch + handdrawn sketched logotype 'detective'
added lens effect for more drammatic view. So accent more on hero's vision and thoughts now.
          +some corrections and details

Hey, i like it. The only thing though is there is no evidence this is taking place in a futuristic/post-apocalyptic setting. Also i don't know if drawing a scene in an office is pushing it way too far from the brief, which is set in an alley. I really like the whole tough private investigator thing you got going on.

                @Ex0rc15t
i like your minimal shadow skyscrapers
but now you've lost naturalistic textures, some artistic sence wich i enjoyed. and outer glow looks strange. Anyway it's all up to you...interesting work )

@Ex0rc15t I really like the Sherlock holmes feel you have going on man, good job!

@tirael-art I Think the first one is more exciting. It has a great dynamic comic style to it.

@Ex0rc15t Hey I'm diggin the style! Really cool!

Here's what I came up with. I'm hoping to fix it up a bit more tomorrow, but I figured I better post now that I have a chance because life's been a little busy lately for me.

                    and here's the WIP

I didn't get as many wip images as I had intended on because I had a photoshop crash and lost some snap shots before I saved them. :/

I think I can speak for both tobz and myself when I say that I love all of the great entries for this challenge! We are working as best as we can to make the Illustrated challenges a lot of fun for all of us so expect a couple of changes...good ones!
A banner displaying former winners will be held up now each time a new thread is up and we will do all we can to give the winners some exposure in the hub as well.

And a Hall of Fame for Illustrated may up soon also! It'd be great if we can have some thoughts on all of this before proceeding tho, so we'd appreciate it if you could share some thoughts on how we can make the Illustrated challenges more attractive overall.

                    That being said,
the finals thread is up, guys!
Please remember to read the rules carefully before submitting an entry, thanks to you all!
