    Default is there an easy way to make all faces quads on polygon mesh after modeling?


    i'm making a couch and my armrest isnt all quads, is there anyway to easily make all the faces quads or do i need to go in with insert edge loops and try to figure it all out

    What is the purpose of the mesh?
    In-Game asset, interior design, Animating or Movie?

    In game engine, We mostly use Geodesic geometry.
    We can even use Ngons, if you are only creating a still image of an interior.
    But if you want to animate it, then you have to use Quads!

    Just do a Smooth(it converts your geometry into all quads)!
    And If you are learning the foundations(which likely you are) then try to solve it with Split Polygon Tool!
