Started this one out with lines, it really does help. Reference were also not used for this one and maybe i should spend more than 7 hours on a piece hmm. Might try that soon. I also wasn´t pleaced with how her face turned out but whatever.
hope you enjoy in any case.

Not sure what to call her though, maybe apple girl? or wait apple may sew me then right? srry bad joke

Their race name is completely random and has nothing to do with anything. I might consider doing more of these, not sure

Im sorry if the resolution is too big, I´m using a 2560x1440 monitor so I´m not sure how it looks on a 1920x1080. If it actually is too big you can go ahead and zoom out your browser :/. (ctrl -/+)

I just got back to painting after a long break and this is what I accomplished in like two hours. I know that i probably shouldn't focus on how long it takes. But I tried to improve some things with this one.
                          . :7
I actually lost interest of painting/drawing at all lately and have been playing a lot of diablo3 instead( and that game is dead and i still play it lol). But I think Im slowly getting baack to painting. Hopefully..

I don't have that I havemuch activity here so probably noone is going to say something but please let me know what you think. it helps a lot and Ill try to help you too.

Looking pretty good, Erik! I love the image that you are currently using for your icon, I think it was reading just fine. With some of your images they get a little too abstracted and are difficult to read due to not having a structure there - no form, values, etc. I would study the planes of the face and body, which works well with anatomy, and apply that to your works.

Otherwise, it's pretty cool to see what you have been doing. Are you editing models you make in 3D? That's pretty cool, keep having fun and who knows what you'll come up with. :3

stace: Hey stace, thanks for all the great advice, I'll be studying that til next update. About the 3d, I usually render the model with different passes(ín either 3dsmax or zbrush) and then combine them in photoshop. So all of the 3d models are basically edited if that's what you meant. I recently learned how to do processes, so hopefully it will clear some things. I'm going to try to avoid the abstraction and focus on realism in the future too, good tip.

Will hopefully have some 2d studies up by next update cause I've realised that Im most likely not going to get anywhere with my bullshit 2d work.
