Batcave, like I can resist painting that!

If someone gave me hundreds of millions of dollars to make a film, I'd bring the crazy of Burton's world and mix it with some of Nolan's grit. Both did some things so well, but dropped the ball with a few others. My opinion anyway.

Here's something so far, just getting the idea blocked in.

@htkpeh I like the top right most a lot. The top one in your later post is also cool.

@Patrik_P it's really starting to come together, has more of an industrial feel now

@radius nice color palette, can't wait to see it finished

      an update on my part.

Very nice work everyone so far! Really digging all the sketches !

Here's what I have so far. I'm going for something smaller and messier, like it was just the "start" of the batcave instead of something huge and fully developed.

Here is an update of my batcave

I think this is enough for the B&W stuff, I'll go on some dark blue with light green or yellow maybe for the lights to warm up a bit the concept. If you have any idea of improvment or tips for the colors, you're welcome.

@Blinck : i like the little lab in the back ^^

@rhazza- Great comp... i really like all the spikes going around and how the bats are moving, thou ill probably make them more messy since they dont really go in straight lines.... keep it up.. .cant wait to see it with colors....

@blinck - very very nice... i like the slim slick feel you got going on.... very modern and up to date. i also like the little lab going on in the back.... Thats a great opportunity to bring some other colors like green and redish for some quemical stuff.... also i noticed there is nothing holding that big lamp exept the cables... i hope that helps! keep it up

@doslav - nice POV.... Clearly something different.... keep working with your cast shadows and values to push that bottom flkoor back and define the lighting. very nice... keep it up

@radius - nice colors and set up... u got nice textures going on around. make sure u state some scale so e know how big this palace is... keep it up....

@patrick - hey man np.... keep working it... u got a nice start on the values.

@htkpeh - hey great thumbs... im more incline to the third and forth.... the first one looks cool too.... cant wait to see your colors in!

KEEP WORKING HARD GUYS! About a week left!!!

another update, for some reason the jpg shows up almost pitch black toward the bottom, even though I can definitely see detail in photoshop.

Think I'm going to call this one done, I do struggle with rocks. Just not realistic. Think I'll go do some studies!

After uploading it you can see I'm still having trouble with the contrast . The dark colours appear darker on photoshop and paint, so whilst I'm drawing I do all my values etc to that. Then when I upload it everything is much lighter! Had a look on google and found that it was my photoshop settings not being set to RGB or something. Anyway, I messed with it a little trying to fix it and now I've given up haha!

@Papaya_Pig Make sure Image>Mode is set to RGB color. If it already is you can also try to hit Ctrl+Y on your keyboard and see if that makes a difference. Ctrl+Y toggles some kind of RGB/CMYK mixed mode, which makes colors less saturated and lowers contrast. You can check if it is toggled on your canvas window or tab name, it should say "RGB/8#" ("RGB/8#/CMYK" is what you don't want). I've run into this because that shortcut is really close to Ctrl+T (transform) and I've accidentally toggled that mode and wondered why my colors look worse.

                          Hope that helps.

hey docslav, found that helpful, although the hot key on mine was CTRL+Y, dont know if they are different for different versions?
made a few small adjustments to my cave...
