@RickOtey: I can see "Gasbags" in the L4D lineup, it's almost like a relative of Boomer. Solid idea and spot on for the contest specs. As for your composition, adding too many "gasbags" makes your FG character seem a little less special. I might replace the other three with Normal infected, to really let you focus on the rarity of a single "gasbag".

Hello ladies and gentlemen.

a few thoughts on posted WIPS (being updated one at a time):

gregopalinski: I love the strokes and economy of your initial sketch. The gesture of the two dogs closest to him is fantastic, and made lifelike with such a smart use of brushes.

The characterization is cool too- You've got a great work on the face so far. Moving forward, you may want to explore making his body language more dramatic, now that he's dropped into the scene- almost like he's barely standing against the force the dogs put on the chains. Right now he's looking pretty strong and humanoid (ie. not a zombie), and his clothes are in remarkably good shape compared to the rest of the zombie pantheon.

All in all, a really cool image that is shaping up nicely.

Arkoon: Yes sir, it is okay for you to post...as many infected concepts as you would like, as long as they're all part of a single final image.

-Besides the Witch, I don't recall any children Infected from LFD, so this is cool. She's got a great gesture, and I love her face. Pigtails were a good touch. Really like the expressiveness of your flat brushes and tones.
Concerning the other two 'scaly dudes', Right now the framing suggests she somehow controls or hangs out with the two behind her.

I like how its actually a twist of the Witch concept given a bit more creepy factor.

Great stuff so far.

Here is my first sketch of Big Bertha.
She is slow but she can get you at long range with tenticals that come out of mouths that have grown in multiple parts of her body.
She also has multiple eyes to no area is safe.

I decided to change the composition all together and instead focus in on the characters.

Sketch for Twisted Sister. She's a Hunter-Type, very fast, but not very strong. Her limbs and her movements make it hard to hit her with guns, so you need to get close and personal unless you have enough firepower to take her out fast.

It's kind of hard to come up with a pose that shows functioning anatomy, perspective and the right amount of creepy :/
