hi, guys! this is my first post on cghub. i've been here for a while now, but i never had the courage to post anything. the quality of your work makes me feel...well...not worthy of posting...but, i saw this challenge and i said hey, i'll give it a try. here's the first wip, i'm about 2 hours in.

any feedback is welcome.

Cool. This is a smaller version for my final, just waiting for the official thread to pop up.

It was definitely humbling. I used a low-res photo to keep myself from copying detail directly from the photo, and instead recreate a portrait. I don't think I realized how much I relied on photo detail to fill in my mental gaps before now.

I hope the middle one is cool for the rules of the contest. That was definitely the most enjoyable part.
