AlexTLe - I agree with everyone else, the two on the right are more interesting. Actually I think I would go with the bottom right one, something about that pose appeals to me! (Its like its flying backwards, or have just taken off right?)

Ogi-C - Hey man, its really not a problem It just makes the challenge that much more appealing! And I would love to have another go at this, but I'm leaving on vacation in a few hours for one and a half week, and I'm not sure how much time I´ll get to draw. If it seems possible I'll definitely try to participate!

htkpeh - I like you silhouettes a lot, especially number 4, its really interesting! If you decide to go with the last one, I'd maybe work on the contrast (I think its the right term). Maybe get the creature to pop out a little more, right now it blends together with the background, making it difficult to read.

chris-cross - That design is just sick! I really like the ribcage-like front on it. The colors and rendering are beautifully done as well.

Machuna - Interesting with the harvesting! I think the wings on the right top one is pretty cool and the body on the lower right has a nice design.. You could easily make a really cool combination I think, or stick with the colored one, both will work great!

Its a cool idea with a nighttime scene! Have you considered you light source? Right now its seems like the moon, which is behind/under your flyfish is the primary light source. That would make the flyfish "backlighted" where as of right know, it seems illuminated on the top. Maybe if you angled the flyfish a bit towards the moon and placed it a few inches below the moon. That would make the moon the only necessary light source.
Sorry if I don't make any sense at all but english isn't my first language.

radeaton - Nice thumps! I really like nr. 3! Number 4 is pretty cool as well, even tho its just for your amusement I would like to see nr. 1 and 2 with the same contrast as nr. 3 tho!

I have a feeling which one I like, but I tried to get some varying takes on the creature part of the concept. Don't have much time today, but I did want to get this started. So, some ideas... thoughts?

@radeaton ur concept very nice as AlexTLe said, just combine the part u like to make a new one, that's the reason we do concept.

@CeliaHogan thumbnail is great, the scene made me remind a animation movie i've seen. Keep doing that, i cant wait to see how the story goes on.

Hey guys!

So.. Have been messing around with some designs. At first I considered a large bug but decided to opt to something that was more like a glider in it's first form (flying on flaps of skin on air currents) to a metalic creature that has thrusters where some of the flaps used to be, and using it's tail. These are some quick roughs to try to figure out the look I want.

Any and all feedback welcome!
